Police say two people were shot by a man riding a Citi Bike Friday night.

News 12 is told that the suspect, riding a Citi Bike around 10:30 p.m., shot a 24-year-old man in the foot and 23-year-old woman in the leg.

The shooting happened near the intersection of Lexington and Tompkins avenues. Police say the gun was fired six times.

Police say the individual was last seen in a dark baseball cap with a white T-shirt, white sneakers, and blue jeans.

EMS took both victims to the hospital and they are in stable condition.

Authorities say that it is still not clear why the gun was fired or if the victims were the intended targets.
