Police: Woman rescued when car flips in Orangeburg
A woman was rescued after her car flipped over this morning in Orangeburg.
Police say the woman was driving a silver Jeep Liberty southbound on Route 303 when the car rolled over by Glenshaw Street around 9 a.m.
The car was smoking and stuck on its side. Crews had to cut open the roof to get the driver out.
Officials say the driver was conscious and alert when she was rescued.
Traffic was being diverted, but the road had since been reopened.
Police say the woman was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
