This weekend on NJ Power & Politics:
A $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill is signed by the president. The big news for New Jersey - it contains $540 million dollars allocated for the Gateway project. Rep. Josh Gottheimer worked hard to get other members and the president to join him in supporting the project. He talks to political reporter Katie Kyros about what happens next.
The latest version of a pay equity bill passed through the Assembly Labor Committee Monday, the Assembly appropriations Committee Thursday, and is headed to the full Assembly.  The Chair of the Assembly Labor Committee, Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri-Huttle, explains how the bill will prohibit unequal pay for "substantially similar work."
The governor has laid out his proposed budget, which includes his proposed tax increases. Michelle Siekerka, president of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association, and Analilia Mejia, director of New Jersey Working Families, disagree on whether this plan will benefit New Jerseyans.
