Terrorist bombs aimed at London commuters Thursday have put many people on edge at the Yonkers train station. However, some commuters who take trains into the city from Westchester and the Hudson Valley region say the attacks will not affect their travel.

Four blasts rocked the London subway system and ripped apart a double-decker bus, killing at least 37 people. The nationwide terror alert level was raised from yellow to orange for all mass transit systems. Governor Pataki (R-NY) ordered state troopers to patrol all commuter trains in and out of New York City.

Many Metro-North commuters say those riding the trains should remain vigilant. Meanwhile, police officials say the increased security of buses, subways, bridges and tunnels will continue indefinitely.
