State senate candidates rally ahead of special election
Candidates vying for the vacant state Senate seat held rallies Saturday to drum up support before the upcoming election.
Democrat Shelley Mayer and Republican Julie Killian are vying for the 37th District seat vacated by Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
The special election will be held on Tuesday, April 24, and could shape partisan control of the New York Senate for the rest of 2018.
Both candidates held separate rallies in White Plains and Portchester Saturday.
