A Yonkers woman says everything she owns was destroyed in the floodwaters resulting from Monday’s torrential rain storm.
Francine Voliton says her Orchard Place apartment had water gushing through it like a river.
“I just started crying. There's nothing I could do," she told News 12.
Voliton blames recent road work for the flooding, saying a hole in the street wasn’t properly covered before the storm.

A Yonkers spokesperson blames the flooding on the apartment building's infrastructure issues, and says it's the landlord's responsibility.
The city says it plans to send someone to inspect the construction site on the street.
News 12 reached out to the landlord, but was told he did not have time to talk.
