The “Nurses for Our Future” scholarship program is helping fill nursing positions in New York by ushering in 1,000 new nurses into the workforce.
More than 63,000 people applied to the scholarship, which Gov. Kathy Hochul says proves that the state is in dire need of funding for nursing education.
The winners will receive tuition to earn an Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing at a two- or four-year SUNY or CUNY school.
