yesterdayThursday night marked the third night of the 13th annual Wine and Food Festival in Valhalla which featured the "Burger and Beer Blast."
More than 20 local restaurants competed to win the Heineken Best Burger Award.
Attendees told News 12 they wait all year for the event at the Kensico Dam Plaza in which the restaurants get creative with their burgers.
Competitors said they like the energetic atmosphere that people bring to the event.
"Hundreds of people showed up. It felt like a block party," said Jonathan Demarco, of the Rye Roadhouse.
"I love this event so much if I wasn't working here, I'd be enjoying here," said Christopher Simoes, of the Yard House in Yonkers.
The festival will continue through the weekend.
