Spring Valley police and federal drug agents say an ongoing investigation has led to the arrests of dozens of drug dealers and the removal of numerous guns off the streets.
Officials say that the 10-month investigation was dubbed "Operation Lifeline."
Investigators say, in all, 140 people were arrested, 16 cars were confiscated and $100,000 seized.
Police say they made numerous street purchases of drugs and the investigation also led them to other criminals, including those accused of robberies and car thefts.
Officials say that they will hold a news conference next week to show the evidence seized as well as to reveal the identities of those arrested.
