2 charged with DUI and drug possession of fentanyl and crack cocaine

In Dutchess County, two men have been arrested for driving under the influence and drug possession.
State troopers observed a car driving early Wednesday morning on Columbus Drive in Poughkeepsie without headlights.
Upon stopping the car, they discovered that the driver, Cedric Thomas, was suspended and under the influence of drugs. Additionally, Thomas and the passenger, Julio Tejada, were found in possession of almost seven grams of fentanyl and about a half a gram of crack cocaine.
Both men were arrested and face multiple charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, aggravated unlicensed operation, and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
They were arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
