Two former inmates at Sing Sing prison in Ossining have been indicted for a 1995 slaying at the prison. Steven Smith, 60, of North Carolina, was indicted on first- and second-degree murder and Allah Son-Allah, 53, of Albany, was indicted on second-degree murder, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. Authorities say the two men, along with the victim, Michael Jones, were allegedly members of the Five Per-Cent nation gang. As a result of a feud, Smith allegedly directed Son-Allah to fatally stab Jones. D.A. Mimi Rocah praised the state police as well as her office's Cold Case and Homicide Bureaus with securing the indictment.
