Two Hudson Valley bus companies have been slapped with fines as the federal government cracks down on tour buses following a deadly crash on I-95.
Officials say Hudson Transit Lines, which operates Coach USA/Short Lines and the Gray Line New York, have been tagged with alerts by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Officials say the companies have had several violations over the past two years, putting them on the radar for priority roadside inspections.
According to the FMCSA, Hudson Transit Lines has been cited for driver fatigue, while Gray Line has been cited for various maintenance violations.
