Police are on the hunt for two suspects in a string of armed delivery truck robberies across the city, including one in the Bronx.
According to the NYPD, the men have robbed a total of six trucks, striking about once a week between Dec. 16 and Jan. 9. In each case, they're accused of approaching the driver and demanding cash at gunpoint.
In the Bronx, police say the men were approaching a truck driver on Dec. 29 when he went into the Family Deli Grocery at 676 East 180th St. The deli's manager says the suspects robbed a Little Debbie truck, and got away with three cellphones and $7.
Investigators released surveillance video from inside the deli showing the men walk in. Police describe both men as being dark-skinned and about 30 years old. They also say one is 5'8" and the other is 6'.
The other five robberies happened in Manhattan. No injuries were reported in any case, and police have not said how much money the suspects managed to get away with in total.
Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
