An Orange County woman is in critical condition following a collision on I-84 in the Town of Montgomery.

 

State police say the accident happened just before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer struck the rear of a Chevrolet Malibu driven by 30-year-old Janet Colon, of Monroe.

 

That resulted in her vehicle going into the back of another tractor-trailer.

 

All vehicles were traveling eastbound.

 

Colon had to be extricated from her vehicle and flown to Westchester Medical Center.

 

There were no other injuries.

 

The accident is under investigation.
