Jurassic-themed 'Dino Park' eying new location in Town of Montgomery

Jurassic-themed park developer Neil Gold and officials announced Monday that plans are now in the works for the $18 million attraction to be built off Route 17K in the Town of Montgomery.
The dino park was previously looking at locations in Monroe and the Town of Wallkill but faced some opposition.
Montgomery Supervisor Ron Feller says his town welcomes the park with open arms.
“Tax revenue is great but far beyond the tax revenue, just bringing something for tourism, something that’s educational and something for our town, is really appreciated and I think we are 100 percent in favor of this project," said Feller.
The park will have 60 animatronic dinosaurs in a 40-acre forest setting.
Right now, it’s in the planning stages.
Several studies need to be performed first and public comment will be considered.
Gold says if all goes well, they hope to open in the spring of 2025.
