A new assisted living facility is coming to Rockland County.
Elected officials and developers signed gold bricks Tuesday at what will become “The Braemar at Montebello” on Lafayette Avenue across from Good Samaritan Hospital.
The $54 million facility in Montebello is expected to be 133,000 square feet and will house about 200 people. Once construction is completed in late 2024, it will have more than 130 residential units as well as game rooms, a pub, a café and an arts and crafts area.
News 12 was told The Braemar at Montebello will employ around 80 to 90 people.
The project team includes McAlpine Contracting as well as H2M Architects and Engineers.
