A New Rochelle man is under arrest for impersonating a federal agent.

New Rochelle police say they performed a traffic stop Thursday and arrested 48-year-old Manrique Perez.

Detectives had an open investigation on someone alleged to have a gun and to have made comments about being a federal agent.

Detectives saw Perez early Thursday afternoon, and during the stop, Perez identified himself as a federal agent.
