Child injured in serious, multivehicle crash in Newburgh

A multivehicle crash in Orange County on Saturday left several people badly hurt.
Police say the cars collided shortly after 10 p.m. on Route 9W in Middle Hope, just north of Old Post Road.
Responding police said one of the victims was a small child, and that at least one person was found unconscious.
All victims were rushed to the hospital, and CPR was performed on scene.
The incident forced the road to be closed in both directions for several hours.
