Saugerties police say they arrested a man early Sunday morning for pointing a 12-gauge shotgun at two of his neighbors. Police say they responded to 485 Band Camp Road just after 2 a.m. for a report of a man at the door with a gun. They say 58-year-old Marc Stonehouse was arrested at the scene. He faces multiple charges, including felony criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. Stonehouse has been released pending a court appearance.

A man is facing charges for allegedly driving while intoxicated. Police say they found Michael Hogancamp attempting to ram a thruway gate in Saugerties. Police say the California man's blood-alcohol content was a .27 when he was arrested.

The Department of Environmental Conservation is being credited with saving a giant Asian Water Monitor Lizard from being illegally sold in Sullivan County. An investigator with the DEC posed as a potential buyer to an online ad for the 5.5-foot long creature. After meeting with the seller, the animal was taken into DEC possession. Officials issued an appearance ticket for illegally selling a wild animal as a pet.
