WHAT'S NEW: The threat for seeing strong to severe storms has increased for Thursday evening. That line of storms will head south and east, toward eventually Westchester County but weakening along the way. This will be roughly between 10 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday.
WHAT'S NEXT: Friday has stormy chances in the first half of the day with the storm potential decreasing later on in the afternoon. Saturday has a few pop-up storms in the forecast, but Sunday has more scattered storms on the way. A drier pattern heads to the region for much of next week.
