Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.

Gabriel Gil, of Yonkers, is scheduled to appear in court today on identity theft charges. Yorktown police arrested him after he allegedly stole a purse from a car and used stolen credit cards to make purchases. Among his charges is identity theft, and he has already been arraigned for the crimes.

A concerning incident in Dobbs Ferry has been revealed to be a hoax. Police received a call from the mobile crisis team about a male claiming to have shot his mother and threatening self-harm. Unable to enter the home for verification, police later confirmed with family members that the situation was a fabrication. The suspect is now in a secure facility.

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with burglaries in Ramapo. The first incident occurred in June, leading to the arrest of a teenager who was charged with second-degree burglary. The second incident took place on July 21st, involving a commercial burglary, leading to the arrest of a 31-year-old Spring Valley man. He is facing several charges and is currently being held without bail.
