A West Point graduate died fighting in Ukraine, according to an online fundraiser for his family.
It says Andrew Webber died July 29 as a volunteer.
A veteran who led his brigade in Ukraine tweeted Webber and a Marine Corps vet both died as they were providing cover fire for fellow soldiers under heavy enemy fire.
Webber leaves behind two young daughters and a wife.
The funds raised are intended to go to them for personal use.
