Police: Howell man charged for attempting to solicit sex with teenager
Thomas R. Carraher, 26, tried soliciting a sexual act for cash and sending sexually explicit media of himself to a person he though was a 14-year-old girl online, according to police.

Police say a Howell man was charged Friday for attempting to solicit sex with a teenager.
Thomas R. Carraher, 26, tried soliciting a sexual act for cash and sending sexually explicit media of himself to a person he though was a 14-year-old girl online, according to police.
Carraher teaches at Mahala F. Atchison Elementary School in Tinton Falls, and works as a basketball coach at the Shrewsbury Borough School.
Police say there is no indication that the charges relate directly to any student or student-athlete at either school.
