No one was injured during a shots fired incident that occurred Saturday afternoon at Kensico Cemetery.

Mount Pleasant police say they received 911 calls about a shooting at the cemetery at around 3 p.m. The incident prompted a massive police response.

The shots rang out during the end of an interment ceremony, according to authorities. An investigation determined that 20 shots were fired, but no one was struck.

Police say they are still searching a black limo for evidence. That limo was originally part of a funeral.

Several men at the scene were handcuffed and taken away by police. There is no official word as to why this happened. However, a detective told News 12 that the men were being questioned as witnesses.
