Sheriff: Chester man charged; had explosive devices, firearm in his apartment

While searching the apartment of 37-year-old Aleksey Titov, deputies say they found three homemade explosive devices along with a loaded firearm, four loaded magazines and about 17 grams of psychedelic mushrooms and a ballistic vest.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office identified person who was taken into custody after multiple explosive devices were found inside a home in the Village of Chester on Friday.

While searching the apartment of 37-year-old Aleksey Titov, deputies say they found three homemade explosive devices along with a loaded firearm, four loaded magazines and about 17 grams of psychedelic mushrooms and a ballistic vest.

Titov was taken into custody. He is facing multiple charges, including two felony charges for the explosive devices and the loaded gun. He was later turned over to Town of Haverstraw Police for an outstanding warrant.

Investigators say more charges are pending.
