Police: 15-year-old girl faces charges for assaulting police officer during detainment
Detectives say the teen had run away from her home in Lakeview without permission. Officers found her running in the middle of traffic and stopped her for her safety.

A 15-year-old girl is facing charges for assaulting a police officer while being detained on Saturday afternoon.
Detectives say the teen had run away from her home in Lakeview without permission. Officers found her running in the middle of traffic and stopped her for her safety.
Authorities say the girl became violent during the investigation. She kicked, scratched, spit and punched an officer.
The officer’s body camera was broken as a result of her combativeness, according to police.
Authorities say the teen will appear in court next month.
