Brewster Fire Department mourns loss of firefighter William ‘Billy’ May

The Brewster Fire Department is grieving the loss of one of its team members, William "Billy" May, who passed away this past Friday.

The department announced his death without revealing the cause.

May, who joined the Brewster Fire Department in February 2020 at the age of 22, will be remembered during a wake on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beechers Funeral Home, with a fire department service scheduled for 7 p.m. that night.

A funeral for May will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole, followed by a gathering for family, friends, and department members at the Brewster Fire Headquarters.
