Mount Saint Mary College has generously contributed two properties to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh, aiming to bolster affordable housing options for local families.

Situated behind the college at 417 and 419 Liberty St., these properties will serve as the foundation for new affordable housing units.

Construction is slated to commence promptly, with completion anticipated by next summer.

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Mount Saint Mary will actively participate in the construction process. Several build day events are planned, not only for these homes but also for additional projects in the vicinity.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh, currently witnessing a surge in interest, reports a record enrollment of 25 local families in its homeownership program. Applications continue to be welcomed as the organization strives to meet the housing needs of the community.
