A New Rochelle man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting two men with a baseball bat.

According to police reports, authorities received a call around 3:45 a.m. Sunday and responded to the scene to find an unnamed 36-year-old man and his 66-year-old uncle suffering from serious head injuries.

Both victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where the uncle required surgery for his injuries.

Police have identified the suspect as 28-year-old Jose Ochoa. He has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the incident.

The motive behind the assault and further details regarding the circumstances leading to the altercation have not been disclosed by authorities at this time.
