Coach USA, the parent company of bus lines Rockland Coaches and Shortline, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and has announced it is seeking to sell its assets.

Ridership on Coach USA bus lines remains significantly below pre-pandemic levels, contributing to the company's financial distress.

The company owes between $100 million and $500 million to creditors.

Despite the bankruptcy filing, Coach USA said it is operating as usual and remains committed to providing safe and reliable service to its customers.
