A large fight erupted at a cookout in the area of South Avenue in Beacon on Saturday afternoon.
Beacon police received a call reporting a fight involving several individuals. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that multiple fights had broken out between various groups.
Due to the size of the groups and the crowd present, surrounding departments were called in to assist in breaking up the altercations.
Beacon police temporarily detained one young person following the fight, but the individual was later released. The event was allowed to continue.
