Man charged in Yorktown teen’s killing accused of having contraband while in custody

A state trooper based in Middletown has been arrested for robbery, criminal mischief and official misconduct.

State police say Trooper Chris DiBartolo, 47, was arrested following an investigation into an incident that occurred outside a residence in the village of Liberty in 2023.

DiBartolo is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 27.
