The Mount Vernon Fire Department held a car wash Saturday to promote its newest calendar.
The fire department's event took place in the parking lot at Grace Baptist Church.
Firefighter Anthony Mitchell said the calendar is on sale now and a portion of the proceeds supports Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
He shared why his crews wanted to support the charity.
"God forbid, one of my coworkers... needs it, we want the money to be there," Mitchell said.
