The Tuckahoe Road Bridge has been officially renamed in memory of Det. Sgt. Frank Gualdino, a 24-year veteran of the Yonkers Police Department.

Gualdino was tragically killed in the line of duty during a car accident on the bridge in 2022, just before his planned retirement.

Family members and officials gathered to dedicate the bridge, acknowledging Gualdino's thousands of crossings as an officer. His family noted that he was due to retire last August.
