A fire official says one person was transported to the hospital following an Orange County motel fire.

News 12 is told the fire started around 1 p.m. Monday at the Days Inn in New Hampton off of Route 17.

At least one room was damaged in the fire, an official say.

There is no word on the condition of the person who was transported from the scene or if anyone else was injured.
