A compost fire broke out in the Briarcliff Manor Fire District on Sunday afternoon, requiring a significant response from firefighters.

The fire, which was reported on Sunday afternoon, took approximately 7 hours to bring under control.

More than a dozen tankers were deployed to the scene, transporting over 30,000 gallons of water to help extinguish the blaze.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
