Police: 84-year-old New Windsor man fatally struck by UPS truck

An 84-year-old New Windsor man was fatally struck by a UPS truck in Montgomery Tuesday morning, according to the Town of Montgomery police.
Authorities say the victim, Donald Bartel, was in the parking lot of a business at 103 Bracken Road when the incident happened, around 10 a.m.
They say a medevac helicopter was requested, but Bartel was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced deceased.
News 12 tried to speak to someone at the business about what happened, but they asked the crew to leave. News 12 reached out to UPS for comment and is waiting for a response.
