The Valley Cottage Fire Department has a new firehouse.
The ribbon was cut this weekend.
Firefighters also held an open house and gave tours of the new facility.
Leaders say it pays respect to generations of Rockland County firefighters.
"There are names in these fire departments that go back to some of the earliest founders within the town. And to think about four or five generations within this firehouse is really remarkable," George Hoehmann said.
