A woman has died after being found unresponsive in a public pool in New Paltz on Saturday, according to Ulster County officials.

Lifeguards immediately took action and attempted to save the 62-year-old before she was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Officials believe she may have suffered a medical episode while in the pool.
