A court has dismissed a lawsuit making multiple accusations against Mount Vernon’s mayor.
Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard announced the decision on Thursday.

The lawsuit, filed in June, alleged that she misused city funds and police resources.
It also claimed that she interfered with a criminal investigation.
Patterson-Howard released a statement calling the suit a “frivolous, politically motivated attempt to attack my reputation and the integrity of this office."
