Within the past month, two White Plains garages have closed due to unsafe conditions. On Friday, News 12 spoke briefly to Mayor-elect Justin Brasch, who said he will order a top to bottom review of all parking garages in the city.

Only days after winning the race to lead the City of White Plains, Mayor-elect Justin Brasch told News 12 he is sticking by his promise to inspect all parking facilities.

News 12's Lauren Del Valle spoke with people in front of the Lexington Grove-West Garage, which was closed on Oct. 30.

Many told News 12 they hope changes are made for everyone's safety, moving forward.

"If they don't stand up to code, they should be shut down. I mean, why would you put people's lives in jeopardy. That to me is a no brainer," said White Plains resident Michael Pearl.

When contacted, the City of White Plains told News 12 there is no update at this time on either garage.
