A 23-year-old Hackensack man has been charged with sexual assault following a multiagency investigation, authorities said.
The Bergen County prosecutor said Christopher Rodriguez-Perez is accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside a Hackensack home on April 6.
The investigation began after the Hackensack Police Department contacted the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit on April 6 regarding a reported sexual assault, officials said.
Rodriguez-Perez was arrested April 10 in Hackensack and charged with sexual assault.
He appeared in Bergen County Superior Court on April 11 and was released pending further court action, according to prosecutors.
The New York Police Department assisted in the investigation, authorities said.
