A man has been arrested several months after a fatal hit-and-run in Unionport.
Police say that Enisman W. Jalloh, 22, was arrested on Tuesday. He is now facing charges for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and tampering with evidence.
Brando Jose De La Cruz, 20, has also been identified as the victim in that incident.
The incident happened back in Nov. 30, 2025. Police say De La Cruz was attempting to cross the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road when he was struck by an SUV, operated by Jalloh, who did not stay on the scene.
De La Cruz had trauma to the head and body and was pronounced deceased at NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi.
