A juvenile is in critical condition after being involved in a collision Sunday while riding an e-bike in Princeton.

Princeton Police say they were called to Ewing Street and Terhune Road at 12:01 p.m. When officers arrived, they learned that a juvenile operating an e-bike had been involved in a crash with a motor vehicle. Emergency medical crews transported the juvenile to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

"A preliminary investigation indicated that the juvenile e-bike operator was traveling northbound on Ewing Street and proceeded to the intersection of Terhune Road, where it collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on Terhune Road," police said in a statement.

According to police, the driver of a vehicle also suffered a minor injury in the crash.

Police closed Ewing Street and Terhune Road for more than three hours as detectives from Princeton and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office conducted a preliminary investigation. Police say they are still working to determine what caused the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Patrol Officer John Myzie at 609-921-2100.
