Authorities say 29‑year‑old Benjamin Lawrence turned himself in after images of the vandalism were posted online.
Police say Lawrence is the man seen on video vandalizing a mural at People’s Place on St. James Street.
He has been charged with felony criminal mischief.
Police say Lawrence is due back in court next month.
