Goodbye April, hello May! Showers continue late and last through the overnight hours, though they should wrap up by early Saturday morning.

This transition leads into a cooler-than-average first weekend of May, with breezy conditions on Sunday making it the perfect time for a jacket or hoodie.

Temperatures will climb to much more enjoyable levels by Monday and Tuesday as we get a taste of real warmth with highs reaching into the 70s.

However, the stretch of pleasant weather will be brief, as unsettled conditions and rain chances return for Wednesday and Thursday. This follows a bright start to the new month, which featured mostly sunny skies and seasonal highs in the mid-60s, a welcome change from the damp end to April.
