Rain and storms moved through overnight into the early morning hours today. A cold front is swinging through the region, pushing away that stormy activity to the east and bringing in a drier flow of air. This will allow the humidity levels to go down through the morning hours and set us up for a very nice afternoon. We can expect temperatures near normal levels (the normal high is 78 degrees) with comfortable levels of humidity and less of a breeze as time goes on.
If you are a fan of low humidity, warm temps and sunny skies, Tuesday is THE DAY to get out and about to enjoy it. We have the PICK OF THE WEEK coming up tomorrow!
Starting Wednesday, we will see rain chances and humidity levels rising. There is a chance for scattered showers Wednesday with spotty thunderstorms on Thursday. Some of them could be strong to severe as a system approaches the region. Temperatures will expect to rise a little above average, but not to the point we start talking about "hazy, hot and humid" conditions. Shower chances go down through Juneteenth on Friday with a drier day ahead on Saturday. The new Summer season will start soon, on Sunday, and it may not be a great beach/pool day with rain chances in the forecast.
