A Bridgewater neighborhood has been told to shelter in place because of ongoing police activity.
Authorities issued an alert around 9 p.m. Wednesday urging residents to avoid the area along Hill Lane.
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office says they are investigating one home, and that is there is no threat to the public.
Officials say information will be limited because of the nature of the ongoing investigation and will update when appropriate.
The Bridgewater Public School District announced on their website that it is safe for students to go to school. However, they urge families to plan ahead and take an alternate route to avoid the Hill Lane area.
