A proposed electric vehicle charging station project in the Village of Irvington is drawing mixed reactions from the community.

The plan calls for installing six EV charging stations near 230 South Buckhout St., within the Half Moon North Development.

The project would be funded through a combination of Westchester County funding and Con Edison support.

While many residents say they support EV charging stations, some raised concerns about the proposed location.

Village officials say they are aware of the concerns and are exploring alternative options.

Those could include relocating the charges, reducing the number of units, or potentially scrapping the project altogether.

No final decision was made Monday night.
