Police responded to the scene of a serious crash Saturday night in Monroe.

Video from the intersection of Lakes Road and Cedarcliff Road just after 7 p.m. captured one car with heavy front end damage and another over the guardrail.

Police on scene told News 12 multiple people were trapped and badly hurt.

A cause of the crash was not immediately known.

The road was still closed as of Saturday night.
